Rooftop Solar (On-Grid)

The most common configuration, where power is generated on your roof, consumed on site first and exported as the balance.

About the Rooftop Solar (On-Grid)

  • Generation is consumed inside the facility before anything reaches the meter, so each unit offsets the tariff you pay rather than the lower rate you are paid for export.
  • Works through your existing connection on net or gross metering, depending on what your state policy allows.
  • Roof condition, orientation and shading decide the real yield, and an unshaded bay will outproduce a larger shaded one.
  • There is no storage in this configuration, so generation stops when the grid does. Backup is a separate decision.
